Twitter is taking a page out of the Facebook and Google+ playbook and changing up their profile layout. Not too long ago Twitter made images within your feed larger and now they’re extending that to improve other aspects of your web profile according to their blog. Here’s the scoop on what’s coming.
Larger header and profile images: Just like Facebook’s cover image, you will soon be able to have a larger header image to get creative with. An added bonus is the profile image will be slightly larger too.
Best Tweets: Tweets that have received more engagement will appear slightly larger, so your best content is easy to find.
Pinned Tweet: Another feature borrowed from Facebook is the pinned tweet which allows you to pin one of your Tweets to the top of your page.
Filtered Tweets: Now you can choose which timeline to view when checking out other profiles. Select from these options: Tweets, Tweets with photos/videos, or Tweets and replies.
This new profile format was released on April 8 and is available to anyone who creates a new account. For those who already have a Twitter account the rollout will be made over the next few weeks.
